In the mid 60's I moved here with my father and mother. Like many in this town. I came here because my father was a US Marine. He did a few tours in Vietnam flying CH 53 helicopters and in 1973 he was killed in a freak helicopter accident aboard the New River Air Station along with a crew of other great Marines. My mother decided to stay here. I grew up in Jacksonville and I went to Jacksonville High School. I played football for Jacksonville Cardinals and drove a school bus. I went to college at Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory NC and then joined the US Navy. I retired from the Navy and lived in San Diego till 2005. I moved back here with my wife and we jumped into the Real Estate market soon after returning to Onslow County. The 20 years while I was away, Jacksonville has changed greatly. I can remember when we didn't have any of Western Blvd. This is a Marine town, never forget that. It is the reason this town continues to grow. I also have worked in the Mortgage industry and this knowledge transfers over into helping my clients make the right decisions in their Real Estate needs. I own homes on both coast and have my own rentals. I understand the market and I work hand in hand with my wife of 25 years. We are Team McCormick.
